How do I prepare for a Liver/Spleen Scan?

There are no preparations. Please bring along any previous scan of your abdomen.

What happens during a Liver/Spleen Scan?

Our technologist will give you an injection of a radiotracer and you will be required to wait for 15 minutes before we take pictures for30 minutes

Are there any side effects of a Liver/Spleen Scan?

No

How long does a Liver/Spleen Scan take?

Results are usually ready the next day.
